Welcome to Fisher Family Farm School, a unique learning haven where education meets hands-on experience in the heart of our working farm. Here, we emphasize three core principles: hard work, intellectual engagement, and good old-fashioned fun.
**Hard Work**: At Fisher Family Farm School, we instill the value of hard work by fully engaging students in the day-to-day tasks essential for keeping our farm thriving. Students roll up their sleeves alongside our team, undertaking a variety of chores tied to the season. These include cleaning animal pens, pulling weeds, planting crops, relocating irrigation systems, and tackling whatever task the farm presents. This authentic, hands-on approach not only builds character but also a deep understanding of the effort required to sustain a farm.
**Intellectual Engagement**: Beyond physical labor, we nourish curious minds bye delving into the multifaceted world of farming. Our curriculum spans a wide range of topics, starting with animal husbandry. Students gain insight into the life cycles and care of farm animals such as chickens, goats, sheep, cows, and pigs. We also focus on agriculture, covering the intricacies of gardening from seed starting to plant cultivation. Understanding soil composition and fertility is another key area, empowering students to optimize plant growth. Additionally, we introduce farm implements, the logistics of transportation, and the fascinating journey of food from farm to table, bolstering real-world knowledge and problem-solving capabilities.
**Play and Exploration**: Fisher Family Farm is not just about work and study—play is an essential part of the experience! We believe that children flourish when given the freedom to explore and enjoy themselves. Depending on the season, different attractions come to life, ensuring that fun is always just around the corner. Kids can revel in the thrill of giant swings, zoom down big slides, and find relaxation in ample shaded areas. Our farm is an endless playground, where fun meets learning and creativity blossoms.
As we look to the future, we are actively gathering insights to determine the most sought-after educational approaches, ensuring we offer a program that resonates with families and nurtures young minds. We take pride in our achievements and the joy our students experience, and we look forward to welcoming your child to our farm family. Let them explore, learn, and play in the enriching environment only Fisher Family Farm School can provide.
